Like anything out there (movies, TV, books, etc ), most of it is not that great -- but the real gems are worth seeking out.. Then it’s time to buy a new computer or make friends with someone who does #2 A DVD-R, depending on the Revisited version DVD-5 or DVD-9 there are two recordable DVD types you can choose from.
This is a free edit/enhancement, if you bought this edit from someone you have to go kick them in the nuts and get your money back (this was also Ady’s suggestion in the pop up video section listing all the changed of ANH:R and we all agree wholeheartedly.. =P Now to get Revisited on DVD you have to have a few things: #1 A DVD Burner this comes standard on most new computers if you don’t have a newer comp.. You can read about all of Adywan's impressive work Similarly, Harmy released his series of Despecialized Star Wars films which remove all the bells and whistles from Lucas' Special Edition versions, but leave in all of the improved picture quality and the subtle improvements (you can see comparison screenshots ).. Basically, I'm saying there are a lot of really amazing fan edits out there; you just need to know where to look.. To be fair, Adywan's 'edit' is, for the most part, not an edit at all -- it mostly addresses problems with Lucas' Special Edition version that Lucas himself failed to address (continuity errors, special effects that were incomplete or otherwise problematic, etc.

Just to add, don't you think you went a bit over the top with the changes? Surely the mistakes - if you want to call them that - are part of the original version.. ) If they do not have nuts, well just get your money back and call them a bad word to make them cry.. I agree completely I think fan edits, when properly done, can sometimes vastly improve a movie.. e , Greedo's blinking eyes) Of course, Adywan's original version of Revisited includes some new shots and some altered editing, as well as some new music cues ( The Imperial March for various scenes involving the Empire, The Duel of the Fates during the Obi Wan/Vader fight), but this is why he also released the Purist Edition, which leaves out all the changes except for improved effects and omitting the less popular alterations Lucas made (Greedo shooting first, Jabba, etc.. Often studio meddling or some other outside influence can have a really negative effect on the final product -- but now that product needn't be so 'final'.

This is just the beginning of some amazing stuff, if you ask me Even as a purist, there are some great Star Wars fan edits that you might want to look into out there; some of them don't really make changes to the original films at all, but instead they reconstruct the original theatrical versions (which, despite what the marketing claims, is not what was released on DVD several years ago -- there are lots of changes from the original films on those discs).. Hell, Adywan has been filming entirely new bits of footage for his Empire Strikes Back edit, and he even has a second unit shooting footage of extras in high-quality Snow Trooper uniforms for several shots.. ) I think ANH is improved in Adywan's edit, personally And while I don't necessarily think any movie 'needs' a fan edit, I almost always find them to be interesting at the very least.. Give some of the better ones a shot, you might be surprised!First, Star Wars is copyrighted by LFL and you have to own a copy of the films in order to own a copy of this edit. 5ebbf469cd
